About

I started Dan Minicucci Photography over 20 years ago with a dream to see the world and capture what I saw frame by frame.. Throughout my career, I have become well versed in juggling the logistics of travel and photography in remote and diverse locations. My experiences have taken me from the rainforests of Central America to the frigid air of the sub-arctic across 38 states and 22 countries for both commercial and natural history photography.

My career has been a unique combination of both commercial success and recognized outdoor and natural photography.  Success in the commercial advertising world  has provided me with the opportunity to work with such A-list clients as Brooks Brothers, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Kodak, Spalding and many of Boston's top fashion designers.  In addition, my passion for natural photography has not gone unnoticed as I have had work featured in such noted publications as National Geographic, Outdoor Life and Time Magazine.

My work truly runs the gamut and my approach to photography is as flexible and light as my personality.  The philosophy behind the natural history images is simple, to create images that go beyond simple historical documentation by evoking emotion about the beauty of nature.  The goal of these images is to stir something in the viewer and allow them to see the beauty of our planet in a new and inspiring light.

Commercial work follows the same simple principal, which is to go beyond simple documentation and find a new perspective to portray a product in with the utmost attention to detail and branding.

Balancing the discipline of commercial advertising photography with the freedom and flexibility of natural history photography has allowed to me to provide the customer with a holistic approach to photography, which can accommodate any client project.
